Without this central creator, you have a “Multiverse” of competing standards—where one department uses one set of physics (Waterfall) and another uses a different reality (Agile), leading to a total breakdown of logic when the two try to share data or resources.

At the center of every Project is the Project Manager (PM). In our universe, the PM is the Star (The Sun). The Sun is the most important element of the solar system for one reason: Gravity. The PM provides the central pull that keeps everything in orbit. They are the source of energy, the beacon of light that provides visibility to the team, and the anchor that prevents the “Planets” (the people) from spinning off into the vacuum of misalignment.

A “cold” Star—a PM who lacks leadership, vision, or energy—leads to a frozen system where nothing grows and planets drift apart. Conversely, a Star that is too “hot”—a micro-managing PM who exerts too much pressure—can scorch the team, leading to burnout and the literal “evaporation” of talent.
